It makes you wonder where the day goes to. Get up at 5:52 and a whirl later, it's 9:30 and time for bed so I can get up the next day and stress out and go through the same cycle again. The individual classes pass so tediously and slowly, crawling on, but when you look back at every day, they pass by in a colorful whirl that you can barely put together and comprehend. Where did all that time go to?

I saw Brokeback Mountain Thursday night with Kathleen. It was a pretty decent movie, but not as good as everyone says it is. I think it's only getting this much hype, attention, and awards because it deals with homosexuality. Heath Ledger did an awesome job, though my image of Jake Gyllenhaal is forever ruined. hehe Kathleen and I fought over who was hotter the entire movie. Yes KATHLEEN fought with Elaine over a GUY. It was funny. She likes Heath Ledger for some weird reason. The dialogue was really hard to understand and as andy said, terse. The transitioning was really bad in my opinion, and I thought they were trying to cover too much time. Twenty years in 2 hours. Plus Heath Ledger never looked any older. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. I am scarred for life after some of those scenes.

Got another Michael Ball CD, and waiting for another one to come in the mail. WHY WON'T IT COME?!??

Apparently my dad was afraid for my sanity this morning. He told me that last night he saw me come out of my room muttering stuff to myself. He thought I was going to the bathroom, but apparently I turned the other way. He's like, "WHERE is she going?" (I think he might have thought I was sneaking out or something) But I kept talking and talking to myself.
So then my dad thinks to himself, "O crap. Maybe she's finally cracked under all the pressure. Maybe I shouldn't be so demanding."
Which is why this morning he was giving me a talk about how it's okay if I fail today. It's only grades and life is longer than my sophomore year first semester. I just stared at him... I knew there was a reason behind that.

I love Wuthering Heights! I just watched the movie again... ahhh.. Heathcliff!! The music is so ethereal and haunting and that narrator who is supposed to represent Emily Bronte has a great voice, as does Ralph Fiennes. She'd make a great Elf with that voice.

Truth or Dare is a very dangerous and potentially painful game.
I think Andy and I realized that on the bus today. Painful and dangerous mostly because I had to give HIM a kiss on the cheek. BLECH. *wipes mouth after using listerine* Eww cooties.
But yea, as Andy put it, you might end up knowing more than you want to. In my opinion, it's more that you don't want to say some of the things that they ask you, but I didn't want to pick dare because there were like 6 people and there really weren't that many options and Robin was asking most of the time and I REALLY didn't want to do what she said.

I really should start studying for finals. I had made up my mind to after I got my contacts today, but I discovered that we have "Les Miserables the Musical" on VHS. I was like, "WHAT?!?!?!!?" and i just had to watch the whole thing. And with Michael Ball as Marius and Lea Salonga as Eponine, I obviously fell in love. I love his voice and she's just brilliant. The Fantine was good too and Cosette's alright.

Watched "Gone with the Wind" last night too for the first time since I was 5. Ahh she threw it away Scarlett did. I can't believe some of the things she did and half the time I was ready to scream at the screen. Vivien Leigh was absolutely brilliant though. My dad was right for once that she's one of the greatest actresses who ever lived.

The game today was awesome, even though Lahari is officially pissed at me. She was like crying on the bench and cussing me out. Just because Coach Yano has been starting me and playing me in the 4th quarter (with Hayley WHEE!!!) instead of her. If you ask me she needs to grow up. She was like, "OMG I'm not even gonna come to the f***ing Brea game. Let's see how much you miss me." And then, in front of Priscilla, she said, "OMG I don't want to play with f***ing Priscilla!" That hurts your teammates, yourself, and is just utterly unsportsmanlike. I mean we all want to play but if someone's playing better than you or is currently enjoying better form or works better with someone (like me and hayley) then you need to grow up and accept it. Work harder yourself instead of b*tching at the coach and other people.
But the game was awesome! We won! I played a lot, blocked three shots, got lots of rebounds, but never got the ball on offense. I had the girl completely sealed off but nooo pass it the other way you guards! But I don't feel bad since none of the 6 posts scored today, which is actually a bit sad.
Game on Monday! Brea--very tough game but I hope I play! If I play it will be a great confidence boost and means that I actually AM better and Coach isn't just suffering from a concussion.

Didn't fail the Euro test which is good. 94 which I'm rather satisfied with in regard to the massive 72s that were being achieved in my class.

O yea I'm starting to feel attracted to a particular person who happens to be a junior and happens to be in one of my classes. Nothing special, probably just me being crazy. He's hilarious though and has the cutest smile. It lights up his face. Don't know him well enough though and don't have a chance anyway, so I'll just admire from afar. It's amazing what good company does. I love basketball practice now. I love spending time with all the girls, so much that the bus doesn't hold appeal anymore, or as much. I love you bus people though! Especially Andy because I haven't talked to you in ages!
But overall, things seem so dismal and bleak when you're doing it by yourself, and even worse when you're among people you loathe or know loathe you. But when you have a friend there, I don't even mind running as much. Yes, that's amazing.

I'm probably just PMSing so ignore me.
I think it's that time of year (not like it's consistent every year) but that time period every year where I feel insecure once more. (Andy I'm turning into you) People have been great, especially Ashley and Yogin but it just doesn't help fill the void. I mean, they have their own lives and at break and lunch when we hang out, Yogin has his best friend, Robin and John are always talking, and Camron and Ashley are wrapped up in conversation and I'm sitting there thinking to myself, which is always a bad start. Royston's probably the only other one who kinda just sits there, and I hope I'm not like Royston.
There's no one to talk to. Kathleen's absorbed in SATs and with finals coming up, I don't want to ruin her future just because I'm feeling unhappy for a month or two in my dismal life. Ashley is great but she has her own issues to deal with and I don't want to be totally rambling about myself. I never see Andy anymore unfortunately. Even if I got to talk to Connie, she wouldn't understand. I still love you though Vorinwe. Camron would just tell me to suck it up and I'm such a loser, which is really helpful. I find myself spilling my soul to Yogin, which is really a bit disturbing if you think about it.
I feel like I'm drowning in a lake, being sucked into the vortex of a whirlpool and no one can save me. Those why try don't have arms long enough and those who can won't. All I can hope for is a temporary branch to hang on to for only so long before the next tide blows me completely off again.

Maybe I'm just tired. Tired of all this pain. Tired of all the acting.

I love basketball practice right now, as I was just saying to Andy on his comment. I love it so much I'm glad I stay after school. There was like a slight fraction of me that longed to go on the bus when I saw Andy and Kathleen, but how much fun I had today with Hayley and Melissa completely blew those thoughts away. I just love my little group this year. Hayley is one of the best people I know. She's just such a GOOD person. You don't use that adjective very often to describe people and it just seems weird sometimes, but she's just one person whose heart is just teeming of good. She's always there to help someone out and you never hear her say something negative and this is going to sound really corny but I just want to be a better person with a better temper around her. Melissa's just hilarious. Her eyes pop out and she's so ditzy! We were having a bottle war today. Hehehe she missed! But apparently I have "unprovoked tendecies toward violence" heheh. Tasha and her "brother" jokes. It wasn't my fault I thought he was cute! I didn't know it was her brother!!! He didn't look like her!
So yea we were taking a break because everyone was coming out from the gym and Priscilla and Joyce were just standing there talking, and I was kinda standing around with Hayley. All of a sudden, I just burst into, "Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase!" and then I performed like the entire thing dramatically and being stupid and crazy. I just hope to Iluvatar no one recorded that.
Then Alexis and I went crazy over boxing out. I couldn't stop laughing enough to shoot the ball.

Researching for tomorrow. I did pretty well today in my own opinion. First time in Congress I was a bit nervous. Not spectacularly nervous like shaking but as nervous as I get in debate. It was comforting to have a familiar face, Joyce in the same room as me. The first round on eliminating presidential term limits, I'd give myself a 6 out of 10. I stuttered a lot on my first speech and just ended it with like a minute left because my brain stopped functioning for some stupid reason. Then I went on again to make amends because I was shocked at myself and this time I did a bit better so that was good. I wasn't too bad for a first time. Second round, I kicked butt if I do say so myself. Should we invade North Korea? O you shouldn't have. If you insist of course I will debate that. Of course I will rip you to shreds.
Alright I'm done with my little conceited rant there. I think I did very well in that debate if you couldn't tell.
I don't like tomorrow's topics very much, illegal immigrants and sales tax. Blech.

But the highlight of the day was when Sachen, a freshman, thought Yogin and I were going out. THAT is comedy. Even IF I did ask him to winter formal last night, kind of. hehehe. I was immediately rejected of course. :) His red dot just attracts me. I am drawn to it like a noth to the flame. It's like a homing beacon on a Star Wars ship. OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST SAID THAT. Oyy.. George Lucas is getting to me.
No people I am NOT in love with Yogin, once and for all.

Actually, the highlight of the day was the Liverpool game. Those of you who don't care should turn away NOW. We were down 3-1 just after halftime, but we won 5-3!!! Thanks to Xabi Alonso and Florent Sinama-Pongolle! And of course Steven Gerrard's opening goal. But other than winning a FA cup classic, the post-match interview was the best part. So Xabi Alonso and Steven Gerrard are standing there getting interviewed. Steven Gerrard's doing all the talking and he's going, "Yea. They're a great sid-- WHOAA!!!" as he FALLS over. I've watched it like four times (YES i am obsessed) He's just standing there and somehow falls backwards, and breaks his fall with one hand, getting up with xabi alonso laughing at him, and he says, "I hope that doesn't make it on the telly." Yea sorry IGNORE ME!

REALLY should be in bed. I haven't been to the movies since Harry Potter, even though there's like 5 movies I want to see, in this order.

Up researching for debate competition tomorrow. We won today in our first league game against Buena Park! I scored the first basket amazingly enough! And I played with Hayley!!!! I'm so disappointed that I can't go to the Santa Margarita game tomorrow. It's 1 PM at Troy, RIGHT when my debate competition starts. If it were like 10 AM or something, I could go to the game, go home, take a shower, dress in business attire, and go to debate. But nooo... I'm sooo disappointed because I played smart today and Coach was relatively happy with me and UGH!! And just because I love basketball this year. Hayley and I talked the entire way on the bus today. It was so fun! I was a little worried about Tasha today because she didn't seem to be "in" it. She wasn't talking, she wasn't being as aggressive as Tasha usually is in basketball, and she just didn't carry herself in the same manner. She looked tired and dejected and "I don't want to be here" which is shocking for her because basketball is her life.
Talked to Riley for 40 minutes on the phone earlier. I have no idea why. He called me and we started talking about the game and then we got into last week when he coached us (which was awesome by the way Coach Yano) and all the girls and how good they are and what their certain strengths and weaknesses were. Then we got into Lisa and him which is SO CUTE! Fourteen months.. Wow. They're SO CUTE TOGETHER!!! He was telling me how he was really afraid if something bad were to happen and they were to break up because they'd put so much into the relationship, drifting away from their friends, and they were really good friends before anyways and it would just be really horrible and awkward and he would be completely lost without that relationship to hold on to. Got to know Riley more tonight, so that was nice. and NO Yogin, I wasn't FLIRTING.

Liverpool signed Paul Anderson and Jan Kromkamp! Hopefully Daniel Agger's coming in as well. Hehe Jen thinks Paul Anderson is cute!! I'm amazed! He looks like such a typical little English boy it's adorable. Kromkamp has a really really nice smile. I think Rafa bought him to teach Stevie G how to smile, even though Gerrard IS smiling a lot more nowadays. It's a bit shocking. But Paul Anderson is only 17 and Rafa wants to play him in the first team!! So he must be REALLY REALLY good, and Kromkamp is a RB to give Steve Finnan a rest. I hope we get Daniel Agger as he's apparently the best defender in Scandinavia, and only 21!

I don't know why I go to her blog sometimes seeing that I never really knew her, but Meghan, Andy's friend, has very interesting posts. I regret that I never got to know her better.

I feel really stupid now. I have a trig test tomorrow and I can't focus. All I can think of is my stupid dilemma. I don't know how I should respond at the current situation. I loved that conversation with Ashley but it got me thinking again. I think I got her thinking too, so I think we love/hate each other right now.

I need rest, but I'm not going to get any for the next 10 days.

I'm feeling a little strange. My two favorite songs at the moment are not classified under Original Soundtrack OR Musicals. This is disturbing. If you are wondering what two songs could have that fantastic power, they are "Collide" by Howie Day and "Listen To Your Heart" by DHT. I'm also really liking "Broken" by Seether & Amy Lee. Thank you to Kathleen for all the great songs off her computer of course, hehe. And thanks to Marlo for "Listen to Your Heart". Now I'm just waiting for "Cannonball" by Damien Rice from Ryan.
Already stressed out, but I'm really proud of myself right now. I'm glad winter break happened because it gave me the short repose of getting over myself and controlling my emotions I needed. With the exception of certain days, like derby day (where we won of course), I did pretty well. So I was thinking to myself, "I'll see how I feel tomorrow when I see him. That'll show me if I'm alright now." I'm proud of myself! I had little difficulty pretending he didn't exist in AP Euro, or maybe Napoleon was just too fascinating. The bus ride home was taken over gladly by discussion of Edward Cullen. No one insults my book! ROBIN, YOU KILLED IT! OMG. This is a warning to everyone out there. If you don't want it to be ruined, don't have Robin say it. "His hands were glowing." ROBIN!!!! Oy.. she made the highly romantic scenes sound sooooo cheesy! I was like, "I LOVE THAT SCENE" and then she tells it and i'm like, "Alright I don't love it anymore."
Then we started talking about how books and characters like that disappoint you though, because they make you realize you're never going to find someone like that. Real guys aren't like Phineas or Romeo or Edward. Robin was saying that it disappoints her and that she'd rather not read stuff like that, but I differ. I like to live in my books and my movies. I like those characters better, and gracias a Robin because somehow that conversation made me really get over it. It was really unexpected, but somehow while I was saying the things and when I was thinking about it, the weight just lifted. I think I prefer my literary characters and if that makes me a sad anti-social nerd then so be it. But it's weird though because it's not exactly that. I don't know why that conversation just lifted all that crap off of me so and made me happy for the first time in a while.
Now I just have to focus on my schoolwork. Get through finals Elaine. Must get through.

So first day back wasn't so bad, other than the fact that I now have to do very well on the remaining chemistry tests to get an A in the class, which I must do of course. I don't even want to think about AP Comp Sci, but the day was fun. Robin and I spent the entire bus ride home discussing the perfection of Edward Cullen. *sighs dreamily*
Lots of homework already, with a chem test, a trig test, and a spanish quiz on friday. A debate tournament throughout the entire weekend with 2 basketball games as well. *dies*
