Liverpool won today!

O yes, hung out with Andy at Starbucks yesterday, as in Friday. That was fun (and very cold). KATHLEEN was supposed to BE THERE, but NOOO she's so freakin STUPID. It was nice to see Andy again, and to realize that some things never change, especially the fact that I still laugh and choke when you say 'boobs' when I'm drinking. Apparently human genitals work as well, except for 'vagina'.. Shayne please don't read this. And Yogin, don't even think about trying that at school. Andy's... more... formal, almost. Like, not formal as in like... proper and prim, but he's just.. older, I guess, which is true. He speaks differently, kind of. Sentences are longer I guess. It's hard to pinpoint. But he's still Andy and I love him. It was a little strange, thinking that he's still a Troy student and all when he's not, but I could still scream and rave and be strange. A nice feeling, I must say. One I've missed. I dont' know.. I know I do it at the lunch table and all every day but it's different. I stumbled across some old conversations I'd saved while looking for quotes for Shayne and they brought the momentary warm fuzzy feelings that soon crashed into nostalgic melancholy as I wondered, once again, where it all went.

*sigh* what is WRONG with me? I always seem to either dwell on the past or dream of the future. I never seem to be able to enjoy the present as it is. Sometimes I just feel so confined here. Work hard. Get good grades. Go to a good college. Get a job. Have a nice life. Isn't there ever.. more than that? Not like, glamour or riches or anything, but just... I don't know if there's any better way to put it.. adventure? I've just got all these romanticized ideals in my head and they're going to drive me to insanity someday... This is what Tolkien will do for me someday. Build Minas Tirith and Valinor in my mind and then when I finally realize it doesn't exist I'll go die or something.
I decided the other day that I want to live in Europe. England, obviously, but also places like Amsterdam and Paris. Just for a year or something. I mean you can go there and travel and see the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower and the Opera Garnier and all the rest but you don't really know what a place is like until you live there. No I don't speak French or Dutch and my Spanish isn't that great, but I want to experience what it's like to be in places like that. I think the idea of Bohemia is getting to me.. Less Rent and Moulin Rouge would be good.
And then there's that constant, unwavering desire of... I WANT TO BE IN ENGLAND!!!!!!! London... where the football is bad. I'll take the train to Liverpool.

I HATE IN CLASS ESSAYS!

Sometimes, I wish I wasn't so.. me-ish. Why am I so loud, obnoxious and rude? Why am I always "AHHH" in people's face? Why do I ALWAYS have to have the spotlight? Why do I almost always have to be the best? (I'll yield to Jesse in some things) Or at least, why do I always have to feel like I'm the best? Why can't I be kind, complacent, and.. quiet? Why can't I be like Jane Xie who sits in the corner quietly, is so freakin smart but never feels the need to let that be known, and smiles sweetly whenever addressed?
I hate myself sometimes. Bottom line: Why am I such an egotistical bitch?
Just so many relationships that have fallen part, are falling apart, and so many faces that I see so much every day that I can't stand. It seems like I'm bitching more and more lately about people, and maybe it's probably me. When everyone seems to hate you, maybe it's your problem. I say all the wrong things at all the wrong times to all the wrong people. And I say it very loudly and shrill-ly. I was so comfortable in my classes last year. I had Shayne. I had Vicki. I had Amy. I had Yogin. I had Jesse. And then outside I had Andy, Robin, Kathleen. Then I got cast into the pit of lions. Sayak is great but really opinionated and judgemental. Anita. Oy. And then Oracle. It's so hard in there. I try so freakin hard. Winston intimidates the beejesus out of me. All the editors but Kathleen and Crystal stare at me like I'm insane. I get SO tongue-tied this year so easily. And then it just comes out sounding really stupid and then people like Sayak, Anita, or Jon will say something to make it even more stupid.

Sometimes, I wish I never said anything. If I never say anything, nothing bad will ever happen. I don't care what people think. Okay, I say that, and a lot of times, I really don't give a damn what most people think. But this year, it's driving me insane. Especially with certain teachers. Dickey. Hinman. Yes I am arrogant and yes I will say that I should rule those classes. Dickey knows of my existence because he keeps tripping over me because I sit right next to him. And because I randomly spurt out with answers, but even they sound really stupid. Hinman just thinks I'm an arrogant, pompous airhead. I resent that last bit. Yes, I am a suckup. Get over it. I have serious problems when teachers don't like me, especially teachers that SHOULD like me. If I had Shayne with me in Hinman, it would be so freakin different. I could actually get a thought out that doesn't sound stupid. Hinman tolerates me and only likes me because I'm one of the four people who speak in that class. Lambert likes me because I have a good grade. Koci likes me to make fun of me. Dickey knows my existence. Menna loves me. Nav knows of my existence. Kirkpatrick knows me as the one who says stupid things and everyone glares at.

I swear, sometimes I just make up my mind. "I'm not going to be loud. I'm not going to be loud. Just for break. Just for break. I'm not going to be loud and obnoxious." Well one, if I'm not, people think I'm severely depressed. Two, it's very hard for me. Just start talking about McFly or something.

of the three movies	Personally, i liked FOTR the best mostly because it followed the book the closest. However, i must admit that i've always liked the TT plot line and thus its a close second. As for ROTK... I must admit that I detest Peter Jackson's portrayl of the Frodo-Gollum relationship. FRODO DOES NOT BETRAY SAM YOU IDIOTS!!!!
character	hm... this is a little difficult. I'd say legolas... but that would DEFINITELY be the book legolas, i can't stand orlando bloom... Otherwise, i've always liked Gandalf
scene	oh wow, must i choose? um... i suppose the scene where faramir attacks osgiliath and denethor sits and eats... I HATE denethor in that scene, but i loved pippin's song and i thought that it was overall rather moving, and i don't mean bowel moving.

Why is your favorite character your favorite?	um... I loved the BOOK legolas because he was always very cool, very collected, and represented more or less everything i aspired to be. Gandalf now, though, is just plain awesome. OLORIN!
Who is your least favorite character and why?	i would have to say... in the movie, Elrond, because i didn't like his constant anger. but in the book... the sackeville baggins! ooh, why did the let Sauruman the decevier into their midst?!

In short, the book is OBVIOUSLY better than the movie because Peter Jackson is in no way shape or form JRR Tolkien, who was an absolute genius. Furthermore I DETESTED some of the extended scenes in ROTK. PARTICULARLY Gandalf's defeat at the hands of the witch king of angmar.... Just plain horrible i tell you. As for the rest, there is not way to compare. and though i try to seperate the book and the movies as seperate pieces of works, obviously i have issues with that...
If you could change something about the movies, what would it be?	see above question, and add Frodo's relationship with gollum and sam. i'd also love to see tom bombadil... even though elaine think's he's on drugs

When did you first get into LotR? How?	I was like... 6 when my mom read me the hobbit. By the end of third grade i'd finished FOTR and TT. By the beginning of fourth grade, i'd been done with ROTK. Since then, i've read all the books at least five times

Erm.. if I HAD to choose, Faramir's scene with Denethor, "If I should return, think better of me, Father". Makes me cry every freakin time. Aragorn's speech: "Sons of Gondor! ...", Sam's speech at Osgiliath, the Grey Havens, the bit between Sam & Frodo at the end of FotR, "Of course you! And I'm going with you!" hehe sam. the bit between sam and frodo at the end of "Two Towers", Faramir's scene with the-white-unnamed-evil-one. BAH. I HATE HER. the extended TT scene with Faramir & Boromir. the scene where Elrond paints the picture of Arwen's life after Aragorn. the beginnings of Fellowship because they're just adorable. Why is your favorite character your favorite?	I absolutely adore Faramir. His selflessness, his loyalty, his strength, his courage, his.. tragedy.. I just love Faramir okay? Aragorn is THE KING. There is no one else like him. He is Aragorn, son of Arathorn. You owe him your allegiance. And I know Elsa hates this, but I adore Frodo. I leave it there. Sam.. who doesn't love Sam?

It's the culmination of what the other two are building up to, and plus: mucho Faramir. Haha that's not the reason. It's just absolutely beautiful.

I lean more towards Silmarillion though, after my earliest days because most of the LotR fan fiction is just Mary-Sue trash written by girls who just write, "[insert name] falls into Middle-Earth and falls in love with a certain, blonde Elven prince of Mirkwood.." if they even know what Mirkwood is that is. But yes.. I write, or rather, wrote fan fiction, and hopefully will write more, and some of my favorite stories ever are by some amazing girls.
Is it your major fandom, or do you like something else more? If so, what?	Yes... ultimately. If we were to drag it out beyond the circles of the world, Tolkien would beat McFly, Wicked, football, etc.

Every word that comes out of my mouth is in some way shaped by his beautiful influence. Who's the hottest in the movies?	AHH. Aragorn I suppose. Faramir isn't the "hottest", but I love him the most and find him extremely attractive. Aragorn though. To quote Miranda Otto... "I defy all women not to fall in love with him." I ALWAYS think that she has the wrong verb there, but hey. He's Aragorn. He's got it all.
