of the three movies	Personally, i liked FOTR the best mostly because it followed the book the closest. However, i must admit that i've always liked the TT plot line and thus its a close second. As for ROTK... I must admit that I detest Peter Jackson's portrayl of the Frodo-Gollum relationship. FRODO DOES NOT BETRAY SAM YOU IDIOTS!!!!
character	hm... this is a little difficult. I'd say legolas... but that would DEFINITELY be the book legolas, i can't stand orlando bloom... Otherwise, i've always liked Gandalf
scene	oh wow, must i choose? um... i suppose the scene where faramir attacks osgiliath and denethor sits and eats... I HATE denethor in that scene, but i loved pippin's song and i thought that it was overall rather moving, and i don't mean bowel moving.

"Mr. Frodo, look, there is light up there, and beauty, that no shadow can touch" (ANTI HEMINGWAY!!!) or possibly the dialogue between Gandalf and Frodo where Frodo states his rather obvious wish to have never been a part of such times. OHOH or possibly "how can you pick up the threads of an old life?" although i don't think thats the exact wording. I'm sure those are only my current favorites though. Damn modernism in hinman's class...

Why is your favorite character your favorite?	um... I loved the BOOK legolas because he was always very cool, very collected, and represented more or less everything i aspired to be. Gandalf now, though, is just plain awesome. OLORIN!
Who is your least favorite character and why?	i would have to say... in the movie, Elrond, because i didn't like his constant anger. but in the book... the sackeville baggins! ooh, why did the let Sauruman the decevier into their midst?!

Have you read the books? If so, which is better, books or movies?	OY. You do not want me to get too into this question. In short, the book is OBVIOUSLY better than the movie because Peter Jackson is in no way shape or form JRR Tolkien, who was an absolute genius. Furthermore I DETESTED some of the extended scenes in ROTK. PARTICULARLY Gandalf's defeat at the hands of the witch king of angmar.... Just plain horrible i tell you. As for the rest, there is not way to compare. and though i try to seperate the book and the movies as seperate pieces of works, obviously i have issues with that...
If you could change something about the movies, what would it be?	see above question, and add Frodo's relationship with gollum and sam. i'd also love to see tom bombadil... even though elaine think's he's on drugs

When did you first get into LotR? How?	I was like... 6 when my mom read me the hobbit. By the end of third grade i'd finished FOTR and TT. By the beginning of fourth grade, i'd been done with ROTK. Since then, i've read all the books at least five times
Do you write fic? Read it?	NO. I've wanted to write on the end of days for a little while now. But i've never read much fan fic, nor written any myself. I don't read much because i know i'd end up going on a mad killing spree with some of it.
