talked to whitney last night. she was like, "you know what's scary? i don't know half the people on your blog. it makes me feel like we're slowing coming out of each other's lives..." NO!!!!! NOT WHITNEY!!!!! NOT the BUBBLE-BUTTED TOADSTOOL!!!!

that does scare me, bcuz i really haven't talked to a lot of my friends. i mean, Connie's never on anymore, and Whitney's been gone the whole summer. Amanda and I have grown apart, with all our differences. Isaac's been busy, and so has Andres. i mean, i haven't really talked to Camron either, but at least i'm gonna see him every bloody day for the next four years. the only person i've really talked to all summer from CH is Roshi, and we STILL need to see the other two films. roshi's cool. i mean, we were practically best friends in 2nd and 3rd grade, and in 6th, and then in 7th, we kinda drew apart for a while, and for half of 8th, but then we started talking, and i kept yelling at him... he's awesome, for not getting too pissed at me for yelling at him all those years, and taking out all this crap on him, and isaac too. gah! i'll really miss them. i mean, it felt so weird to ask them "When does your school start?" and not mean my school, and Isaac was like, "i'm the one who's supposed to be asking you, remember tengyilan?" i practically cried then. i know i'm pathetic. it was funny though, bcuz he was like, "the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th" and i was like, "it's hte 7th." he laughed, "lol. you STILL know better than me when it does" WHY ME?!?!! gah!!!! i would trade anyone for Isaac and Roshi, even Camron.

andy's back! well he's been back for a couple of days, but i've been too lazy to mention it. but, i was talking to him last night, and he's like, "See you on Wednesday" which is art class day. and i'm like, "and thursday." and he said, "and friday. whoa.. that's 3 days in a row!!!" THE HORROR!!! IT JUST DAWNED UPON ME!!!

anyway.. now that i'm over that. i've been reading the Oxford and Cambridge prospectesus Sam sent me. their quite interesting, and my mum's happy bcuz those 2 schools are comparatively cheap. well, not cheap exactly, but not as expensive as some american schools. i can't believe Sam actually sent them. i'd forgotten, and here's this huge thick packet in the mail that's air mailed from England. that's cool though.

Olympics end tonight!!!!! no more Chinese gymnastics for FOUR years. but i'll just think about it this way. the next Olympics, i won't have to watch on TV. Beijing-here i come!!!

gah.. orientation was freaky. i was completely lost. "where do i go?" "what the hell are we doing?" all that stuff. didn't see a single person i knew. well i saw 2 ppl from my summer school class, but they were both sophomores, and didn't recognize me.

my bloody locker is a beast. i couldn't open it, and i could barely reach it. i mean, ME, at a quarter off 5"9, couldn't reach the bloody locker. both me and my dad tried it about 5 times, and then this teacher (i think he was the music/band teacher) comes over, and he helps us. he opens it, gives me some advice, and then my dad somehow opens it. all that's left is me. i'm gonna dent it or something. FINALLY, after about 5 more attempts, i managed to get the bloody thing open.

FINALLY watched Matrix w/ Roshi this morning. i kinda get it, and it was a lot better than i expected. roshi's all triumphant now. we have to watch the other 2 sometime. i liked that guy named Mouse! why did HE have to die?!?! gah. why couldn't Neo die? well of course he couldn't die, or else there'd be no more films, but STILL!
there were parts that were absolutely ridiculous, and the part where Neo and Morpheus fight, i'm like, "WE'RE NOT IN JAPAN!!!!!!" GAH!! STEALING MARTIAL ARTS!! and some parts were so freakin far-fetched it was sad. i mean, Trinity not getting killed in all that glass, and Neo managing to hit everyone but Morpheus. and i absolutely refused to let Roshi call Elrond Agent Smith. he was like, "dude AgenT Smith has the best lines!" i'm like, "he's not--" he cuts me off, knowing what i'm gonna say, "FINE. ELROND ::Does stupid wave w/ his hands:: has the best lines. This is PRE-Elrond." we finally established that LotR started filming b4 the Matrix came out, so HA!!!!! elrond is PRE-"agent smith" or wahtever the guy's name is.
so yea.. i liked the symbolism, but i shall have to dwell upon the "Bending spoon" thing. roshi doesn't get it, so i am determined to understand!

Part 4: Movies.



Favourite movie OF ALL TIME (you can only pick ONE), and why? the Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King, and my words could not the beauty of it justice. It is the conclusion of an epic greater than even that of Troy. The symbolism, characters, journeys, and emotions are at their climaxes, and though evil is destroyed, it's not just the simple happy ending, rather tainted by the bitter remorse of parting and death...
that was REALLY bad, wasn't it? that's not exactly why i like it... but i could write an essay on that and nobody wants to read that (except maybe me)


Favourite genre of film. historical fiction (as they are my favorite books too). i suppose drama, mixed in with a bit of action/adventure.

If you could look like any movie star, who would it be? i don't want to? i'm satisfied with the way i look, or at least, i transcend above it, so i don't care anymore. but if i had to choose, um... Catherine Zeta-Jones or Liv Tyler? i dunno! Faith Hill Elsa??? odd choice.


If you could do a ‘May’ and take all your favourite body parts from movie stars, what parts from whom would you take? NO thank u. as i said before, i like the way i look.

Is there any character from any movie who you can really relate to? oo so elsa doesn't like eowyn! happiness! um... there's alot of characters. they all have their own ways, for example, sometimes Faramir, becuz i know how it feels not to be able to live up to your father's expectations, though Denethor's not ANYTHING like my dad. um... a little bit of Frodo, which is a bit scary.


BOO...Did I scare you? no... but then again, i'm the person who can't go on Disneyland's Haunted Mansion w/o getting freaked out...


Is the book or the film better? it depends on the story, and in the movies' case, the director, and of course, the SCREENWRITERS. i.e. Fran Walsh, Pete Jackson, and Philippa Boyens did an awesome job, but not all adaptations are. i'd say usually the book, bcuz it goes more in depth, develops the characters better, and there's more room for little details. also, when it's a book, you can visualize settings and characters any way u want them.

alright. i'm going to start moaning on gymnastics tragedy, but THIS time, it's NOT about the Chinese team, and this tiem, i have more than 100,000 other ppl who think so!!!
anyone who watched the news, or last night's high bar, will know, that a medal, belonged to Aleksei Nemov (russia). he was soooo brilliant, and it was his last routine EVER at the Olympics. yet the bloody judges, who had been messing up scores all night, AND with the Paul Hamm all-around controversy, gives him, a 9.6!!!!!! i mean, bloody hell, the 2 guys who came b4 him, who were NOTHING compared to him, got 9.7+s!! Paul Hamm was getting ready to go, and I feel really bad for this guy too, but the crowd starts booing immediately after the score came out, and it only got louder, for about 10 minutes! until the judges FINALLY changed the score, but not by much. they only raised it 2 a 9.7, which didn't matter, bcuz it still didn't get him anywhere near the score he deserved.. GAH!!!! THOSE BLOODY JUDGES!!!! i mean, this is the King, Aleksei Nemov, his last Olympic routine EVER, which is wonderful, that the commentator even said, "This is a routine that deserves to be remembered as one that will change the Olympic standard forever, not get buried in the standings."
i mean this is a guy, who, according to the broadcast guy, "Won more hearts with his demeanor than with his 12 Olympic medals", who DESERVES this one last medal, and they don't give it to him!!!! i mean, itz NEMOV!!!
i feel bad for Paul Hamm too, bcuz ppl are all blaming him, about the all-around stuff, and now this medal, and it's not necessarily his fault. it's the judges, and he feels like "the whole world is against me"

O THE TRAGEDY!!!! O THE HORROR!! NOW I KNOW WHAT DROVE SHAKESPEARE TO BE A DRAMATIST!!!!
i wait FOUR bloody years, patiently waiting, JUST to see this Chinese men's gymnastics team, the world champion, uncomparable to ANY OTHER in the WORLD, according to ANY expert, and what do they do, they perform HORRIBLY, DISASTROUSLY, NOTHING like the Chinese team their supposed to be, in the team final. they did better in the qualifying, than in the FINAL. i mean, Teng Hai Bin FALLS off high bar, and is CAUGHT by his coach, Yang Wei falls off PARALLEL bars, and Xing Ao Wei (my personal favorite whom i remember from Sydney) COMPLETELY screws up floor exercise, which is HIS expertise. they place FIFTH, beneath KOREA, of all ppl. i mean, Japan got gold, which they deserved, bcuz they were wonderful. US 2nd, eh. Paul Hamm's good, which is about it. 3rd-Romania, who kinda deserved it. but CHINA!!!!! YOU WERE THE REIGNING WORLD AND OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS!!!

and tonight, where ALL the pressure is, bcuz we NEEDED this to get back on our feet, Yang Wei, for the all-around champion. he was PERFECT, FLAWLESS for the first FIVE apparatuses, FIVE out of SIX, with a 9.8 on parallel bars, which he fell off of. he was in the steady lead, and then comes the last apparatus, HIGH BAR, and he FALLS OFF!!!!!!1 and gets a 8.9!!!! i mean, he got past floor exercise AND still rings, his weaknesses, and he FALLS OFF HIGH BAR, when the medal is in SIGHT.
dropping to seventh, TWO KOREANS win silver and bronze, and PAUL HAMM, INJURED, WINS GOLD. i mean, the guy's good, but not as good as any Chinese, INCLUDING Xiao Qin and Teng Hai Bin. Yang Wei, all the hopes were on u, Li Xiao Peng, reigning Olympic all-around champion, QUITS all-around so u could do it, and you FALL OFF.

ah well... there's still individual apparatuses. don't worry Yang Wei, you're still good. i'm just traumatized.

and bloody NBC, they don't show all of it. WHO CARES ABOUT THE US TEAM?!?! i mean, your supposed to show EVERYONE, not just follow the US team around!!!
i wait for FOUR yrs, just to see these Chinese gymnastics (well the others too, but i focus on chinese) and they don't SHOW it!! and worse, the freakin team FALLS off the BAR!!!!!!!!!! Teng Hai Bin (the guy w/ the same last name as me, from the same city, Beijing, and looks freakishly like my dad) FALLS OFF THE HIGH BAR and is caught by his coach so he didn't get paralyzed, and then someone else, i haven't checked yet fell off the PARALLEL BARS!!!!!!!1 the PARALLEL BARS ARE THEIR BEST APPARATUS, other than the pommel horse!!!

well... my life is shattered. for those of you who think i'm a drama queen, just f*** off.
the Anfield boy, born in Chester, raised in Liverpool, playing at Anfield since he was 10, signed by the juniors when he was 11, along with Stevie Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, is no longer the Anfield boy; he's the Real Madrid deserter.
Michael Owen, #10, the best player in England (in my opinion) and the best player in Liverpool (Stevie G and Carra holding close) has left. the year where i buy, with my own $$, unlimited viewing of the Premiership games, just to see Liverpool; the year that I go to Liverpool, stand on Anfield ground, my favorite player, the #1 reason why i started to love that team, well Stevie G & Carra were close reasons too, LEAVES. he LEAVES 4 REAL MADRID, the damn SPANISH team that STEALS all the GOOD English players!!!!!!! i mean... well kathleen has totally offended me (for the umpteenth time) but this time, i mean MORTALLY offended.
i was talking to her on the phone, while IMing w/ this friend of mine, who i met bcuz she's a total Tolkien freak too. she's awesome! she actually understands me when i start going off on those LONG rants!!!! (i know ur thinking--freak) anyway, "The object of her unholy desire" is Maedhros, who is the brother of Maglor, my love. and so we were talking about it, and it went along the lines of:

(well let's hope not) and he can do different voices and everything. and u know what he does when he's BORED? he watches the PRincess Diaries--with Audio Commentary. he was telling me the weirdest things about it... ooo AND the deleted scenes; can't forget those.

oooo wrote the Maglor story on the trip. it's not 2 great language wise. i never thought i would write that horribly w/o my computer! i dunno. when my fingers are on the keys, it just feels right, and i don't even think about it-the words just flow out. o well, i got the general idea of the story. itz 5 pages typed, short story. i'm gonna take my 1st version and lock it somewhere, and then rewrite the story w/o it on my computer, and see how much better the language sounds. then i'm gonna combine the 2 drafts.

Cried during a movie?: too many times, as Kathleen will bear witness. i cry every single bloody time i watch LotR; Return of the King the most. i cried in the Notebook, A Walk to Remember, practically in Spiderman 2 when, after saving her ungrateful life, MJ leaves Peter up there on the little tower thing, and they say they can't be together. leave me alone! like Elsa: "frodo told sam to go home. bloody git. hes your best friend frodo! dont let gollum effect you!" I KNOW!!! and Elsa, u can't forget when Aragorn goes "For Frodo", at the Black Gate, and charges, and Merry & Pippin charge!!!! it's sooo cute!!! and the scene w/ Faramir & Denethor, i can't help it! the look in his eyes; one glance is enough to bring me to my knees weeping!!! i'm SORRY!!! and of course, there's the parting at the Grey Havens. i can't even go into that... i'll stop sobbing here and now. and every time i hear "Into the West".

Ireland, Wales (though technically NOT another country. bloody sam, it's a POLITICAL division!!! geographically, England & Wales could be one, it's just the bloody freaking name!!! i even checked 4 different encyclopedias 2 prove my point!!!) and of course, there's China. also been 2 Canada--eh?
Been to another state?: many. 13 ive been to one every year.

Minnesota was okay, now that i'm done w/ that huge rant. hey i was bored. what do i do w/ my life?!? i should be READING!!! or @ least working on something! it's cold there though! England has better weather! but it was nice and green there too.. it made me really nostalgic and pensive (go andy w/ your SAT words) and i reminisced for a while about good times. remember those Elsa, Syd, Olivia?

well i've been on quite a lot these past few days, but i haven't found nething interesting to post. leaving at FOUR AM (save me) for the airport 2morrow morn, for Minnesota.
as you may have noticed by the chatter, Connie and I have recommenced our little arguments. what in the name of Eru, the One, did I do to deserve this? I call upon Manwe Sulimo, Varda Elentari, Nienna the Weeper, Ulmo, Mandos the Judger, Lorien in his fair gardens, Yavanna KEmentari, maker of fruits and life, Lady Uinen Airetari, and the rest of the Valar and Valier to witness that I, am completely innocent of her maniacal abuse of the English language!!!!!!!!!! I mean, what does she think she speak? The language of the ancient Naugrim!??!!?1

anyway, got an idea for a new story-Silmarillion related. this time about Maglor (yay!) starting to develop a new obsession about him. the only one of the cursed sons of Feanor i like. well, Maedhros isn't that bad either, but the artist, great minstrel, hands so fair, crafted for the harp, should never have to wield a sword, his melodious voice, soaring into battle. :Sigh:: Maglor, named after only Daeron, minstrel of Doriath, who loved and lost Luthien Tinuviel to the mortal Beren One-Handed.

OKAY!! thatz enough Tolkien for me today. sry. just reread Silmarillion today so really into it. like i always am. sigh.. where's Miriel when i need her? she would understand.

art class yesterday was fun, and andy actually came up with a FRESH insult!!!! i'm ATTEMPTING to portray on paper Arwen Undomiel, fairest of Elvenchild since her ancestor Luthien Tinuviel (okay i said enough Tolkien) and failing miserably. like i said, i should've drawn Eowyn, because then I could've made her as ugly and horrific as i like w/o feeling the least bit of guilt. damn girl who wedded Faramir... gah i wanna kill her. Hanna!!! we MUST conspire against her and Diamond!!!! (don't ask ppl)
well, my dad comes to pick me up, and i'm like, "DAD!!! WHATZ WRONG W/ HER?!?!" (I mean Arwen, the one i drew, bcuz she doesn't look like her) and andy murmurs, "That is the question he asks every day." (meaning me) i wanted to smack him!!! but i got to give him props for that one.

finishing up Forsaken. i think only 3-4 chapters left. gonna start on my Maglor project on the plane, and start thinking seriously about Eldarion, which i'm going to collaborate w/ Susan.

damn.. lost all my CDs on the freakin ferry from Ireland to Wales. gotta reburn all these. but there's the 3 that Kathleen, Roshi, and Rachel made me that i can't get. GAH!!! this sucks.

ooo i ate too much... i feel like i can barely get up. indigestion hurts.

okay, on a happier note. i finished "The other Boleyn Girl" it's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was soo sad though, bcuz i knew the ending of the story, as it's a well known piece of history, so when Mary had her false hopes about exile or a nunnery for Anne, and exile for George, i was shaking my head furiously, and thinking, "Fool." how could he execute George?!?!!?!!!?!!? like Mary, i took a liking to him, though he was her brother.

anyway, since most of you probably have absolutely no idea what i'm talking about. i need another book to read. Camron was being infuriating on the phone today. i was like, "don't get pissed @ camron. don't get pissed in the summer. you'll have plenty of time to do that when the school year starts"

well, like andy said, i haven't updated in a while; or at least, a while by my usual standards. i haven't been anywhere, i just haven't found anything to blab about (i know, amazing, eh Ka?)
almost done w/ the book "The Other Boleyn Girl", which is by the same author as "The Queen's Fool", by Phillipa Gregory. their both awesome books, if u love historical fiction (like me), especially English (like me) in the time of Henry VIII, and u love the insight into the court intrigue (it was sooo corrupt). sounds like the White House.

went to Costco twice today... i don't know why i just wrote that. got the last roll of film back. those were the best pictures. got one of Olivia looking like an idiot (like always) don't kill me when u read this, Sydney WAY too close up, Sam sitting over the edge of a cliff we could easily push him off of (jk) and the most beautiful scenery. The River Shannon, the lake we sailed on, and ALOT of trees.

well, andy, u can rest at ease now. i'm quite over my little depression, and i am writing furiously now. hehe!!! yea!!!! i feel bored though... i wanna jump up and down!! (sound more like me?)
