background: My mom is telling me how people find their soulmates in college. If they don't find someone in college, then they're doomed to be single. (she's ridiculous, by the way)
mom: so you have to find a really nice boy in college okay? not in england though. not the english boys. find an american boy. a nice american boy. maybe his parents will be english.
me: mother...
mom: but yeah, find a nice boy okay?
me: how about i find a nice girl?
mom: WHAT? no no don't do that. you have two options, marry a nice boy, or marry Kathleen.

Apparently Kathleen is no longer a girl...
