legovanan
stumbled across a very good poem:
Namarie, Prince of Elves
Namarie, Prince of Elves

The Sun is setting on her nightly bed,
As the first stars begin to shine
The twilight dawn is near at hand,
And so is your parting from this great land.

Will you sing for me one last time before you leave?
Or should I keep your fair voice treasured in my memory?
The forest will miss you, and so will the night
But Spring with all her splendour awaits for you,
in the Land of Light.

For you hold the last memory of greatest deeds
And the hearts of those long parted, now for your presence plead;
Hear the voices of your fair kindred call
To sail the vast sea, and return home.

The wind is now calling from the West, your final destination
Fare you well, Prince of Elves, your ship is waiting;
May the Sun and Moon guide you, and the stars above guard you
And may your memory remain in all the hearts that loved you.
Namarie, Prince of Elves...
